A Hungry Life

“My love of food was beautifully captured in A Hungry Life ”

A Hungry Life is an outdoor cooking series released by YETI Coolers that follows me on unique cooking adventures in Montana, Mexico, Texas and Hawaii.

Since I was a kid, my adventures pretty much start like this… pack the essentials, get out the door, and see what Mother Nature is up to.

This is really the same approach I take when cooking.  I am an opportunity driven Chef inspired by the moment.  I find static meal planning incredibly difficult, if not impossible, when stuck behind a desk or a computer.  My stoke to cook is fueled by gardens, wild foraged foods, markets loaded with seasonal bounty and the joy of sharing these moments with others.

This take on food inspired my friend/business partner Jennifer Jane and I to create 'A Hungry Life' outdoor cooking series, with the aim to share, educated and inspire others to get outside and create memorable food over a fire.

The smell of wild mint, the smoke from a fire, a good story shared by a friend about a meal they enjoyed, becomes catalyzing factors in how to approach a dish.  It is true that building flavor is a key component to a successful bite.  That bite is also built on many rich layers that reflect not only the ingredients and techniques but also, the complete story surrounding how that dish came about.

I’m on the hunt for that link, that connection, that Hungry Life approach to how we find, cook and eat meals and how that process brings us as people closer together.
